How Does an Attorney Get on the Annual Super Lawyers® List?
Super Lawyers® is a rating service that features practicing attorneys around the country from more than 70 practice areas who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. Lawyers cannot nominate themselves or pay a fee to be included—instead, they must be nominated by a peer and undergo a patented selection process and background check to make it on the list.
Super Lawyers’® patented multiphase selection process focuses on 12 indicators of peer recognition and professional achievement, including an attorney’s:
- Awards and accolades
- Verdicts and settlements
- Community service and pro bono work
- Publications, lectures, and writings
- Special licenses and certifications
- Representative clients
- And more
Only about 5% of lawyers in the U.S. are selected for inclusion by Super Lawyers® each year. Visit the Super Lawyers® website to learn more about the organization.
